for nearly 5 years, i contracted with an insurance company
as an agent. i then had an argument with another agent of
the insurance company who was the ficilitator of some of my
paperwork but not signatory to my contract. shortly after
our argument we spoke again and patched things up. two days
later she refused to provide me the powers of attorney
needed to do perform my job. and then shared with me that
she would stop me from going to another company. At this
time I was in full compliance with all rules of the company
and the law that govern the business. I contacted the
national general agent for insurance company and shared
with them that i had aproblem with their agent. They
advised me that they would talk with the agent and get back
with me. later the same day they called back to say that i
would have to work it out with the other agent. I was
unable to do so. as a result, i was compelled to surrender
my license to the department of insurance in my state.
after this i received a letter from the insurance company
demanding that i send all of my files and to pay monies fro
all poweres of attorney listed on an enclosed list of
powers of attorneys, I reviewed the list and quickly
learned that i had not been issued the powers i was being
billed for. Nontheless, i was forced to pay more than two
thousand dollars for these powers and subsiquently incurred
the loss of more than twenty thousand dollars from my
indemnity fund. still trying to work out the situation i
was told that i would be reappointed by the insurance
company. i contacted the department of insurance and
learned thta all i had to do was reappluy and they would
reissue my license as there were no derogitory items on my
record and i was current on my continueing education
requirements. I submitted the paperwork and was once again
interferred with by the agent who i had had a problem with.
in the interum i learned of all sorts of disparaging
remarks she had made about me.
I feel that my contract with the insurance company was
interferred with by the other agent because since i was the
only agent in the area that did not work for her i was
    causing her to lose revenue.
please share any thoughts or experiances you may have.
