    Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo will hold its 2006
    Employment Law Conference (ELC) on March 23, 2006 from
    7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Cerritos Center for the
    Performing Arts in Cerritos, California.

    The Employment Law Conference is designed to equip
    executives, corporate counsel, and human resources
    professionals with workable legal strategies to tackle
    some of the toughest employment-related problems in
    today’s workplaces. Last year’s conference drew a record
    crowd of 425 attendees comprised of CEO’s, directors,
    general counsel, and managers from a wide variety of
    industries throughout California.

    “The ELC is unique because it provides attendees with
    unparalleled access to leading state employment agencies,”
    said attorney Robert Wenzel, chair of the firm’s
    Employment and Labor practice group. This year, we are
    pleased to welcome Suzanne Ambrose, Director of the
    California Department of Fair Employment and Housing;
    Donna Dell, former California Labor Commissioner; Patrick
    Henning, Director of the Economic Development Department;
    and Julianne Broyles, Legislative Advocate from the
    California Chamber of Commerce. These experienced
    Sacramento insiders will provide insights on how the
    state’s policy makers and legislators will impact business
    employment law this year.

    We are thrilled to announce that Michael Josephson, host
    of the Character Counts! radio program and founder of the
    Joseph & Edna Josephson Institute of Ethics, returns again
    for another discussion on how businesses can foster an
    ethical culture.
    In addition to general sessions with the guest speakers,
    the conference will also offer a choice of 12 breakout
    sessions about current employment-related issues and hot-
    button topics, such as hiring and firing supervisors,
    limiting wage and hour violations, and tattoos in the
    workplace.

    Continuing education credits, as regulated by Human
    Resource Certification Institute, will be given, as will
    up to six (6) hours of MCLE credit.
