    Post: Privacy Violated

    Posted by Kelly on 5/02/06

My privacy has been violated by my late employer. I recently
left my job because of a lot of factors. It is a family
owned business and the owner's daugther in law causes a lot
of trouble. She had been on me for two months straight about
one thing or another. Thing is, she was not my boss, she was
actually just an office helper. I did all the payroll,
ap/ar, etc. We had a trucking company and she would just
check the logs to make sure the drivers were in their hours.

Well I left because I got tired of dealing with her. She was
pretty much trying to get rid of me and my boyfriend(Who is
the Operations Manager and nephew to the owner). The
daugther in law knew the owner's intentions were to give the
nephew a percentage of the company, she and the owner's wife
did not want him having shares so they have been out for us
    both.

This story is so long to go into now but I filed for
unemployment. The Oklahoma Employment Commission sends
copies of my statements to the Owner. Well his wife let the
daugther in law read those statements. The daugther in law
responded and called me a lier and other things that were
not nice. She wrote all this to the OEC. Now, is this
against my privacy since she is not a HR manager and has
nothing to do with this? I would think that would be
slander. Please let me know so I can forward with further
    action.

    Thanks so much.

    Kelly
