Post: Salaried vs Hourly

Posted by Chuck on 7/25/06
Hi my question is myself and coworkers are called "salaried employees" by our company. The problem is we can work 40 hours in a 4 day period and if we attempt to take the fith day off we are forced to take leave without pay or leave for that day. We also are required to work the full 40 hours and if we work over we do not get compensated, but if we are under our pay is taken at an hourly rate for each hour we are short. In addition we are working on a government contract and if we work over 40 hours the company get paid by the government. Is this legal? Thanks for ny help Chuck
