I resigned before being arrested on grand theft charges at
my previous job #1. I found another one and three weeks
later a manager from a sister store from job #1 came to
work at my job #2. two weeks later I was asked to resign
or be terminated due to my background check. When I went
for unemployement insurance job #2 fought against it and i
was mailed papers from the unemployement office. One copy
was my application to job #2 which had been scribbled on.
I saw the name of the former employee's General manager on
there with his phone number. I did not work for this store.
Why would my second job wait five week after I was hired
to terminate me for my background check?
Could it be possible this former employee said something
to my GM at job #2 and do I have any recourse ?
