Re: A Set Up

Be advised that in today's litigation prone society,
employers seeking to get rid of certain employees may be
inclined to set up a trail of negative work performance
reviews, complaints and the like. See a recent businessweek
article discussing the cost of law suits based on employment
discrimination to understand the reasons behind it. The
article reveals that companies must be especially careful
with employees who fall into certain protected categories on
the basis of their age, disability, orientation, being
complainers, etc. While I doubt you are being purposely set
up, an employer may want to establish a poor performance
record in order to avoid costly law suits later.
