As a probationary employee, you really have no rights. The entire
point of a probationary period is to give an employer an idea
whether you're suited for a position with the company. If your
boss seems to be bothered by yours hours, it would suit you best
to sit down with him, ask what his expectations are (specific
hours, do you need to check in when leaving, etc). If you feel
you shouldn't have to do these things, and if he expects them of
you, then this isn't the job for you.

It doesn't matter what everyone else does. Employers don't always
have the same expectations of every employee. It doesn't matter
if others have left or been fired because of conflict over similar
issues. As someone working in a probationary period, you don't
have a _right_ to a job. You don't really have a right to
complain about the conditions of your employment. You either
figure out what the expectations are and meet them, or you don't.
And your choice in that matter will have a whole lot to do with
whether or not you're offered a position after your probationary
    period.
