I fail to see your bind. You are an employee whose supervisor has never acted in a manner which you have found to be unprofessional, let alone criminal. Individuals who commit crimes, are convicted, and serve their time are permitted to work out in the real world with the rest of us. They are encouraged to become productive members of society. Here is someone who, for all intents and purposes, appears to have done just that. That is his right. There is nothing preventing him from being employed by the government. If you keep up your crusade, let alone retain an attorney in order to try to force your employer to discriminate against your supervisor because you were nosey enough to get into his records when you had no reason to do so, the chances are that YOU'LL be the one out of work. Your supervisor hasn't violated a single company policy, but if you keep up what you're doing, the disruptions that you are causing very well may be grounds for dismissal. You should be concerned about one thing and one thing only - does he do his job? If the answer is yes, then shut up and go back to work.
