    Post: Discrimination?

    Posted by Daniel on 1/09/08

Alright, basically here's what is going on. I have a
chemical imbalance, in which a RN friend of mine, has
already confirmed the issue. Its due to diabetes.. i have
not provided any documentation to my workplace regarding
such, mainly due to costs, i do not have the money to
afford to go to a doctor to get the proof, the pay i make
at this job really barely covers the bills i currently
have, however... its obvious its nothing of a hygienic
nature, i keep myself clean, keep my clothes clean, and on
most occasions everything is fine, it really only happens
when i sweat alot, due to the imbalance, the sweat is what
causes the odor.. well anyways.. My work acknowledges the
improvement, however continue to refuse in any assistance,
in making my working environment a more relaxed one. I have
to constantly be paranoid, and worried if my presence is
bothering anyone, and its quite stressful. I have asked
them on several occasions If they could put me in an area,
where i could continue to do my work without interuption,
and also be able to not 'disrupt' anyone else's work.. they
refuse to do such, and I do understand that by law they are
not obligated to, but if they fire me for this, then does
it become a legal issue, harassment on their behalf,
because they refused to make accomodations, even after i
showed several months of improvement? I do live in texas,
which.. sadly makes it incredibly hard to determine, since
i am aware that it is a right to work state.
