Post: Possible Contract Breach?

Posted by Mark on 10/20/08

I was terminated on my first day of employment, 5 minutes
in. I was forced to sign a 90-day "agreement" that stated
all of the usual BS like what I was expected to do, etc.
The girl who fired me clearly said that I would be paid
for the following 3 weeks. There is a specific clause in
the contract that states that I am to receive 3 weeks
written notice of termination prior to the term date - I
clearly did not receive such a notice. Now this employer
is saying that they have NO intention of paying me at all
for the next 3 weeks. Is this a clear breach of contract
or am misunderstanding? Your input is greatly appreciated.
