You could take your complaint to your State's Labor
Commission or whatever it's called in your state to try to
recover wages earned and owing.
Also, you could try Small Claims court.
Just saying to someone "O.K., you're a partner now" does not
necessarily mean a partnership was formed, and more likely
than not, no partnership was formed in this situation.
And, just because your husband wins a lawsuit or get any
order for the guy to pay your husband does not necessarily
mean your husband will ever collect one red cent if the guy
is in debt up to his eyebrows.
Better stop stressing over this & get ready to consider this
an expensive lesson learned: If it ain't in writing, most
likely it never happened!
