I was employed through a temp agency for season work.
Everyday for the past week and a half me and another girl
were repeatedly harrassed by a group of girls. I took the
problem to a Supervisor but she was to busy to care. The
following week i was threatened to leave my staion and
give it up to another girl or they will beat the piss out
of me. I took the issue to the Dept. Supervisor where i
was employed. She immediately reprimanded this group of
people to leave my work area. The Supervisor later
returned to tell me she reported the incident to a higher
up. She said if she comes to you tell her all about the
harrassment. The higher up boss showed up talking to this
group of street girls. Several minutes later laughing as
if the were having a good old time. She approached me i
told her i was threatened. She asked are you an employee
of this company or a Temp. I stated a Temp. She responds
with... do you know i can walk your ass right out these
doors. You have no right filing a complaint with a
Supervisor of this company. You file it with your staffing
agency. Before lunch the First Supervisor that helped me
said an EMPLOYEE of the company reported to her that they
over heard we would be jumped after work and have bodily
harm done to us by this group of girls. I reported it to
my Staffing Agency as told by the big boss. She seen me
reporting it and fired me on the spot. Her response was
NOW because of you girls i have to fire the other girls.
Is there anything i can do? The company policy is first
offense warning...but i did nothing wrong, second: written
up Third offense: Termination. I never called off, never
tardy, always worked hard hoping to turn into permanent
employment.
