There's not enough info in your question to provide a
response.
But, probably not, unless the employer's actions were based
on race, creed, color, sex, age, etc.
Furthermore, much depends on whether or not one of them had
prior incidents, how long they had worked for/history with
the company, etc. In short, there's absolutely no rule that
an employer must treat the two involved employees exactly
the same where they were both involved in the same incident.
