yes (probably).

a doctor's note does not "protect" your job or guarantee
you'll get to return to your old job when you're able to work.

unfortunately, unless you qualify for a legally-required
medical leave (e.g., FMLA) or a company-promised benefit
(e.g., sick leave) that "protects" your job while you're out
sick, employees can be replaced/terminated even when they
have a doctor's note.
