Post: Child Abuse and equal rights

Why is it in the United States of America children are not afforded the same rights as adults when it comes to rape, sodomy and acts of violence. Why is when a child is physically or sexually abused the matter is usually heard only in a civil action in family court rather than in criminal court. How can the worlds only superpower not have the will or the fortitude to protect its youngest citizens against torture and violence. How can the President of the United States allege to take action against terrorism when in our own country we actively condone and pay for the abuse of our own citizens thru the mockery that is family court and "child protective services"? One murdered American kid is one too many they have should have equal rights too. The most fundamental of which should be the right to live and not be murdered.
