Is there any law that prohibits firing someone based on a personal disagreement. Basically I do an outstanding job at work. I had several disagreements with my boss regarding her making deragatory comments about my religion, and some other factors. She wants me gone now that I have openly disagreed with her and she wrote me up supposedly for giving my opinion to a potential employee as to whether she should come to work at my job or not. (The actual write up said, "Employee called a potential employee at home to discourage her from taking a position") First of all I wasn't at work when the girl asked my opinion and I didnt call her to discourage her; I was returning her phone call about an unrelated subject. Basically when my boss decides she doesn't like someone she usually starts writing them up for petty instances. Is there any type of law that will help me??
