Maybe. You may be lawfully terminated on suspicion of
misconduct, even if the employer is mistaken. However if
the employer believes both of you acted equally
inappropriately but only you were terminated, you might have
a claim for gender discrimination. (This assumes the
accountant is male and you were treated more severely
because you are female.)
