    Post: Social Service Investigation

In March 2004, I received a visit from the Georgia child
care licensing agency regarding a complaint they had
received. They were told that I was operating an unlicensed
daycare center, that a 3 year old child was injured on the
premises and that they smelled pot on the child. I was in
school at the time of the visit and my adult son was at my
house. I spoke to the investigator over the phone and she
wanted to search my home for evidence. I told her to go
ahead and she found nothing. A few weeks later my case was
closed. In July, 4 months later on a Sunday morning, I get
a call from the Cherokee County DFACS office stating that
they wanted to come to my house to investigate charges of
drug abuse and child neglect. She came out to my house and
demanded that I take a drug test within 24 hours. I took
the test the next morning a passed it.About a month later
she went to my childrens school and questioned them about
me. Then she came back to my house after that and
questioned them again. I explained to the first
investigator that my husbands ex-girlfriend made the
initial call because we had gotten into an argument over
the phone and she told me that she was going to report me
and she did. She lives in North Carolina and has never met
me. DFACS had found nothing on me, but yet to this date
they are still leaving messages on my phone and my case is
still open. I feel that my rights and my childrens rights
have been violated and I don't want anymore dealings with
them. What can I do to put an end to this nonsense. All of
the allegations were false due to a jealous ex-girlfriend.
