Sorry you got fired. I just did, too. Right now I'm trying
to figure out what part of me getting fired was my own poor
performance, and what part was the economic situation at my
law firm. They said I did bad work, but I think that wasn't
all of it. Having never been fired before, it was quite a
shock. So I'm trying to sort out what was what without
avoiding what might be difficult or painful issues (like, was
I really as good as I thought). I doubt it was just my
work. Seattle is suffering many, many layoffs right now. If
I was having some difficulty, my law firm may have just
thought they had a good opportunity to cut costs. I don't
know, but just try to be truthful with yourself. Eventually,
you'll get another job. Good luck.
