It's far too easy to anonymously report abuse . Since reporters are not accountable for misinformation or unfounded accusations, many view this as a way to retaliate or hurt someone they don't like. Something ought to be done to make reporters accountable, however, it won't happen because there will be less reporting of serious abuse. Unfortunately, people won't speak up because they'll fear the repercussions. The just of it is ... according to legal ethics , it's better to err on the side of caution. Regrettably that leaves innocent people up the creek without a paddle. Let them investigate and file a report "UNFOUNDED". Unfounded cases are not kept on file.
