Only a qualified medical professional can make a diagnosis of a learning disability. A nurse is not qualified. Problem is someone (like you?) might actually take the nurse seriously. It's one thing for a supervising nurse to make a report that a trainee nurse is below professional standards, that's her job; but making a diagnosis is not her job. In most states it is prima facie slander to state that someone has a mental illness. For example; just because someone is a curmudgeon doesn't mean they are a bi-polar, manic depressive, schizophrenic. Big difference between a character trait and a mental illness.
