He was terminated. We consulted with an attorney that believes he
has been the victim of "reverse discrimination" and that it was
easier to cut their losses with a white male under 40 than to
tackle women, in a protected racial class, that are over 40, non
performing or not. Their reasoning was vague. I can't go into any
more detail, but he was shafted. Sueing would be long, difficult,
and we're not sure if it would be worth it.

He did nothing wrong. Every decision, every thing that was ever
done in regards to evaluations, disciplinary actions, were run past
superiors and human resources for approval first.

Convincing a jury in the "minority" area of the state we live in
(white people are actually the minority where we live) that a white
male was discriminated against would prove difficult as well.

Thanks for your help. If we had it to do over again, there would
be some things we would have done differently, such as getting
copies (if possible) of personell file, perhaps filing an EEOC
claim, or even a workers comp claim for emotional implications
caused by the job. I don't know. I do know that if we had acted
in such a way to protect his job, he would have been less likely to
lose it. Instead, he trusted those that we considered family to do
    the right thing.

We'll go on. And we'll be much more the wiser from this. Thanks
    again.
