Hello readers,
I need help please, I was hurt on the job in July 99.
I twisted my ankle in a expanasion that ran down the side
of a production machine and snapped my Talus bone. I
complained to the Job Nurse and she claimed it was only a
sprain. 3 mos. later after I complained every day my
employer sent me to a doctor that verified that I had broke
my ankle.
I have worked 4 mos since 99 and am starving and no one
wants to help me.
I would like to know what different public agencies that
are out there that I may report discrimation to.
I have had 6 different surgeries and the doctors say that
I will never go back to my employment and that I cannot
have any job that I must stand for any period of time.
I made $24.00 hr. and now my family is starving. I get
workmans comp weekly and it is the max for the state of La.
But it is only 1400.00 a month.
My empoyer says they have no other job for me other than
on the production floor and they have been informed that I
cannot do that job.
Workmans Comp is messing with me saying that the
Functional Ability Test that the Doctor sent me to do is
bogus and that test plainly says that I was consistant and
put forth the best possible effort and was in alot of pain.
I told workmans comp that I would be willing to do
anything, any Doctor just to please send me and they told
me "To go to Work for my wife." (she is self employed)I am
still getting my money every week but now I am forced to
live my life in a stand still.
I am a member of the Union and they dont even call.
Can you please contact me with any suggestions, I need
help.
