When I was college decades ago, I took a year long class on
Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. I have also visited the
Holocaust museum in D.C. To learn more about this low point
in humanity, check out:
Cybrary of the Holocaust located at: http://www.remember.org/
Also, excellent resources to understand this period of history
are Hannah Arendt's "Eichman in Jerusalem, A Report
on the Banality of Evil" and all writings by Elie Weisel.
At first, I thought it was odd for you to make this post on
this Chatboard, but considering that the first step Nazi
Germany took to implement Hitler's "Final Solution" was to
strip Jews of their civil rights, its important that none of
us forget how vital the protection of equal rights is, not
just to the pursuit of happiness, but to liberty and to life
itself.
