    merited. I a have a friend who had DYFS called on him because he
    beat someone to a parking space. I know a woman who had DYFS
    called on her because her childs SURGERY scars "Looked like
    black eyes." My wife had DYFS called on her because she refused
    to let another womans child get away with stealing my wifes
    checks and running up a $15K debt. My wife pressed on this
    juvenile so she could get her $15K back and next thing ya know
    DYFS is at my wife's door! I also have a very close friend who
    had a drug problem. No one else in his family did. All support
    systems were in place in his home for his 8yr old child. His
    sober-never-drank-a-drop in her life mother lived in the home.
    His wife who drinks only on special occcasions and never to
    drunkeness also lived in the home. Yet a "Counselor" at a very
    prominent D&A Clinic in the NJ area chose to make it his duty to
    call DYFS. Not only did he betray this man's trust and
    jeopardize his recovery, but he fabricated a story about this
    man's wife being an alchoholic, the house being a disaster area,
    electric off all the time, no food in the house, and the 8yr old
    running around unsupervised. All the exact opposite of what my
    friend had told this "Qualified, Licensed Counselor". All of
    these allegations were unfounded. I would personally vouch for
    this man and say he has tobe one of the best fathers I have ever
    met.
    It makes me sick to see this State institution being used as a
    Gestapo-like threat to innocent people. The children in these
    situations are being subjected to what boils down to terrorism
    in their homes as well as are the parents.
    Then,like in the last post, someone says "DYFS was called on
    you. Why dont you focus on being a good parent" What gall.
    Well I could go on about this all day but I won't. Suffice to
    say all calls to DYFS are NOT what they seem.
