Post: withholding exculpatory evidence
Posted by Lorraine Phinney on 6/07/03
The commonwealth's attorney in Powhatan, VA. withheld exculpatory evidence from my lawyer. He stated the detective did not reveal a witness that would have cleared me. However, he is in support of the detective now running for Sheriff. He was turned into the bar..their response was"We see for certain one of the two lied about a witness but we would not be able to tell which one so we are not going to pursue this. I want to stop the detective from running for sheriff. I have proof he lied under oath to two judges. Can I have him arrested for perjury, and how do I do this?
