Thanks for replying. you said in the first case the attorney was only being careful yet he knew that I was not guilty and that a dismisal was needed and proper. You also said : "If there was a hearing that he was supposed to attend and did > not and you lost by default that's malpractice. Contact your > state attorney disciplinary authorities and consider a civil > suit for damages." If the arrangement was only verbal what can I do? But I think I can find out for sure, it seems very likely the court knew he was involved and it is recorded. Thank You SO MUCH!!! Your third statement: > If what you say is true obtaining money in this way is > questionable. A lot depends on what he subsequently did with > it. > What happened to the firearms and drugs charge? I don't know about the money from my parents Perhaps remaining balance on his involvement? But I do remember that I gave him $250 for the Family Court case the morning I was sentenced, But I did withhold $1000 from him when he started acting so weird. He didn't ask for it. It sure was a let down I haad known him for years and had sent him alot of work. He does have a record of drug problems. It seems as though he was having withdrawals, I even asked if he was having{while I was in Jail} a backlash. This of course only angered him. He really hit me when I was down. The later case ended with a probatation sentence for the drug charge with the firearms being plea bargained away. The previous sentenced {please remember "dictated"} was worse and had so many stings hooked to it, that I couldn't keep jumping threw hoops and violated- again not pretty. Thanks again for your informatation and time.
