Post: How can I trust my lawyer

    Posted by Grisshelp on 12/28/03

I was injured in an accident resulting from a truck not
securing it's load. I have went to deposition and
mediation. This January 17th will mark two years for this
case. Two days before mediation the company filed
bankruptcy chapter 11. My attorney has been telling us for
months now that he is trying to get the name of the person
to contact to find out if the company had a insurance
deductable. Everytime I call the office the receptionist
says he is in a deposition and when I speek to his
secretary she tells me a different story, when I finally
talk to my lawyer is story is altogether different. Is it a
class in law school that teaches lawyers to lie even if it
is for no reason at all. Why is there whereabouts such a
secret. It seems that when you reach a certain point in a
case they flip do they forget without clients they don't
have jobs. Sometimes when you call their office you can't
believe a word anyone says. How can I trust someone that
has been proven not to be trustworthy. I believe If he has
to lie about something so simple as being in or out of his
office he could not be telling the truth about many other
    things.
