    Post: Lied to by attorney

    Posted by Richard on 2/04/04

I was in a custody battle. Local Children's Service
supported my position. On day of custody hearing my
attorney lied to me stating that the local children's
Services had changed it's position. My attorney also lied
to me stating that two local family counselers that
supported my position had resited coming to court for me.
My attorney failed to respond to phone calls and written
letters during this process. My attorney failed to approach
the court in regards to child support issues and now the
court will not grant me support for the time the kids were
with me. My attorney suggested that I drop the custody
issue because I would not win with out the proffesssional
counslers and Children's Services support. I did drop it..
only to find out later of my attorney's behavior. Any
    suggestions?
