    Post: Background check question

    Posted by Kelly on 6/13/04

Okay here we go, I went to a state college right after
highschool but flunked out after a semester b/c of
substance abuse problems. I sobered up and the following
fall I enrolled at a local community college (without
transferring my grades from the first college) and did
very well. I then transfered after a semester to another
public university close to home. Well I graduated in
three years with three majors and I did very well. I
omitted that first school on my law school apps, b/c the
grades wouldve heavily weighed me down and I had worked so
hard throughout school (3.9 and 172 LSAT)that I wanted to
get into my top choice. I'm finishing up my first year at
a very good law school and now Im worried that when I
apply for the bar examine, they will find out. Is this
something that will show up in my record?
