Post: Notary

Posted by Kathryn on 9/16/07

    My question is:
I was in a lease to purchase agreement on a piece of real
estate. My partner and I signed and the owner signed who
is also president of the corporation. I have recently
found out that the notary that stamped the document is the
secretary/treasurer of the corporation and the two are
listed as the directors of the corporation also. Finally,
can this shareholder notarize a document that she didn't
claim to be an entity of? If so, how and if not, what's
    the fix? Thank You
