I have deep sympathy for you out-of-state drivers who are caught
by the Driver Responsibility Act. I have just received a notice
for this 5 YEARS after i pleaded guilty to speeding tickets, paid
the fines etc. Im visiting the NYS DMV this week. I think it's
outrageous that the law is in place, that i did not know of it,
that these ''points in an 18month period'' were all on the same
day (my fault regardless), AND that i get notified 5 years after
the fact... I bet if I dont pay, it will take 1 week to suspend my
license!
