At its foundation it is an immoral practice, ammounting to forcing one parent to finance the filtching of his/her own children. Not since slavery has a system embedded itself in our culture that forcably removes children from a loving parent. But this trend will reverse and culture will survive. The states will wise up and stop offering this incentive for faithless spouses to destroy their families. Most women have reached a point were they actually beleive they are entitled to the support. In the future, it will likely be concluded that when a divorcing spouse can not afford to support the child/ren, custody will be awarded to the other. That philosopy will remove two of divorces greatest incentives- control and money. Men and women should concern themselves and eachother with restoring the family, and not on who "owns" the children or has the last laugh.
