    Post: Fathers Estate

Posted by Dave Kohles on 5/18/07

I have a problem that I am scared there may be no solution
for. My father passed away seven years ago, when his
tractor role over. He was fifty years old and left a
fairly large Estate, but with no Will. I am one of his two
sons. He was maried to his second wife Carol Kohles, they
never had children of there owen. Carol (my "stepmother")
had five sons with her first husband. To keep from haveing
to sell all my fathers stuff I was told that I needed to
sighn a letter makeing Carol the Executor of his estate.
They had my fathers appartments in both he and Carols names
( jointly owned) althought I built all the appartments
along with my father growing up. I never was payed, but my
father always said " what do you mean you aren't getting
payed, these will be yours some day" I know my never
intended on dieing when he did and was concerned about how
Carol would handle the situation, regarding me if something
was to happen to him. A long time friend of my fathers,
came to me after his death and asked me how thing were
going with my fathers estate and at the time I thought ok.
Well he contiued to tell me that on a couple different
ocations my father had dicused with him those concernes.
Well now i to have those concernes. Seven years after my
fathers death I am now finding out that Carol has done some
things that are not right and I think she is going to cut
me out of everything. She has always whanted her sons to
have more than me and now I think she is tring to insure
that that is the case. If anyone has any sugjestions I
would gladly take what I could get, because i do not know
    what to do!
