It makes ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE that he is the only male child
to carry the family name; that statement is not a 'reason', it's
simply a statement of fact. If you think that being the only
male child to carry the family name is going to get you in front
of a judge, think again!!!

You have presented no valid legal reason, and I highly doubt
that you can, that would lead a court to grant your request. If
you had sole physical custody, then you might have a shot at it.
But as it stands now, unless our ex agrees, you're dead in the
water.
