My name is Kim. I had my daughter Kali in June. I was with
her biodad for about 11 months total. Before I became
pregnant with Kali, I called the police and biodad -Mike-
was arrested for battery because he hit me (He was
arressted other times for this-not with me- and for other
things like drugs, and had a $50,000 bail for my case
against him). I also put a restraining order on him. When I
found out that I was pregnant, for some reason, I wanted to
try and work things out with Mike. I dropped the
restraining order against him and he ended up pleading No
Contest to his charges. He was put on probation and had to
attend an anger management class.

In April of this year, I left Mike and moved up to Georgia
with my family because he told me that "things weren't
going to work out between us" and that he didn't love me
anymore. I had Kali in GA with my family. Mike asked to not
be on her Birth Certificate and told me that he did not
want anything to do with her. He has never paid child
support or done anything for her.

He recently has been harassing me about wanting to see Kali
and about us getting back together. I have told him NO many
times and have asked him to just please leave us alone. He
will not stop calling, text messaging, and e-mailing me. I
am changing my cell phone number and have been thinking
about putting another restraining order on him. He has said
that he will hire a lawyer to gain some custody of Kali.

I am afraid of this man and I don't want my daughter to
come into contact with him. Please help me out. I'm not
sure what he can do or what rights he has but I will do
anything to protect her (and myself) from him.
