I have been the caregiver of my niece since she was 16
weeks old, she is now 16 1/2 months. I have a notarized
private agreement with the mother who has shown very little
interest in the baby. My brother, the babies father is in
and out of jail and her mother moves around and gets
involved with undesirable men (like my brother). Thus far
I've been going along with the private agreement, but would
like to seek court appointed guardianship. What is the best
way for me to do this?
