You should have never gave sharwinston the satisfaction of your
response. I think she tried law school, and didn't make it. Yes, you
can "waive" your parental rights, BUT the step-father would have to
be willing to adopt, and your ex would have to agree to it. When my
husband adopted my kids, my ex signed a parental rights "waiver".
