That notarized statement gave you no rights to custody of
the child. He is a minor and his parents are legally
responsible for him. If the minor wants you to be his legal
guardian, then you or he will have to file legal papers and
get a court order for him to stay with you. Otherwise:
Home he goes. The longer he stays with you the greater your
legal troubles grow.
