Post: Relocation during a temporary custody order
Posted by Jenny on 9/16/08
I am currently in the middle of a custody battle that is
over a year old now.
I was awarded temporary custody until a hearing is held.
In this temporary custody order it says I can not move
more than 60 miles from where the father resides.
my Husband has had to move to Portland Oregon to work do
to the state of the economy and he has our other children
living there with him.
Myself and the child involved in the custody case were
denied by the court last week to move with my husband and
children.
We are currently about 127 miles apart and living
temporarily with friends.
I do not have a job here where I am at and no family and
where my husband is I have a job waiting there for me that
will allow me to help support my family and still be a
full time Mom and my husband has a wonderful job with
wonderful benifits for our family.
Does anyone know of any thing I could do to apeal this
decision as the judge I think recklessly made the decision
for us to not be allowed to move.
I am also wondering if anyone knows what would happen if I
just went a head with the move any way before the final
custody case is heard?
Any info would be greatly appreciated thank you!
