I have 2 girls 5 and 6 that live w/ their mom & stepfather.
I’m currently seeing my kids every other Sat for 8 hrs, &
fighting with her every time a holiday comes up so I can see
them. Ever since visits have begun on Feb 2006 their mom &
at the time bf have been pressuring the kids to call him
dad, & me by my first name. The kids only do this when they
are around their mom. In the past the kids have called my
fiancée “mom”, my oldest tells me that if the do that, they
get put in time out. I don’t have the $ to take her back to
court or the legal rights to take them to a therapist. She
has also told them that I never wanted them & that is the
reason that I left, not that she kicked me out. She
continues to badmouth me in front of my kids & any friends
or family members of mine that she runs into. Also, I
suspect some sort of physical abuse, they always have
bruises. She continues to tell people that she thinks that
I’m doing it, & trying to blame her new husband. Can I take
her to court for Slander, Deprivation of Character, more
time w/ my children & or full custody? What would my chances
be if I did this w/out a lawyer? Can I take them 2 a
therapist w/out any legal custody? What can I do?
