Post: I - 797 Lost- Need to Visit Home country - Need Help- Urgent

Hi
I lost My I-797 in USA.I am on H1 B. Now i am planning to
go to India for a short term visit. While returning Back i
heard from my friends that i need to show the original I -
797 to the immigration officials. IS it true.

If it is the case then Will a Photo Copy of I - 797 can be
shown to the immigration officials ? I have My Drivers
License, Social Security and Pay stubs. Will immigration
officials consider these...

Please advise me .
