Post: apply for us citizenship

i was convicted for bank fraud and got 3 yr probation. my
wife is a us citizen and our newborn son was born in the
u.s. my probation ends in 2011. i am a permanent resident
of the U.S can i appply for citizenship? i heard that i
can get deported for a felony crime.
