You apparently lack information that though, she is here illegally, she has venues. For example, many illegal people work and file their IRS taxes with a W7 account that is designated for the sole purpose of tax filing. Asuming ICE came and got her, not USCIC, and placed her in removal proceedings, with some exeptions, if she meets criteria for cancellation of deportation for a non-resident, the immigration Judge may grant her green card and allow her to stay. One of 4 exeptions is her daughter. Another venue is if her spouse, being you, are a legal resident/citizen and you were abusive to her, she may file for a green card under you. Beware, dont think she has not sources of potentially staying here.
