Post: effect of driving without insurance on immigration

Posted by Antiharvardfreak on 6/30/08
I was involved in a simple bumper accident almost four years
ago while driving without any insurance. It was a minor
accident and there were no injuries. I was not arrested but
was given a court date to show for my hearing. I had to
plead no contest and also make sure to provide all expenses
involving the car repair to the other party and pay some
fines to the court. All of which I did. I was able to keep
my license and not even file any SR-22. I have kept
insurance since and have not gotten in any such problem.
Currently, I am planning to pursue immigration through my
employment (currently an H1-B visa holder) and thinking if
that traffic record will effect my application in any ways.
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
