Post: 20-year illegal resident seeks legal status

I have an individual client who has spent the past 20
years living illegally in the United States and is now
seeking an avenue to permanent residency or citizenship.
He is a Mexican citizen.

He is currently employed, in an un-skilled position in the
food service industry. He has no criminal record and has
filed regular tax returns. However, he has filed his
returns using another's SS#. He has no family in the
United States.

Any thoughts or suggestions for general resources or
specific options that might allow him to obtain legal
status would be greatly appreciated.
