Check job requirements for patent office position you want. Sometimes you can be over qualified and they can't pay you for the additional education. Also additional education can be obtained once you are working with alot of employers. Don't narrow your opportunities so much that only a few employers can afford to hire you. Work and then get the advanced degree to make yourself more valuable to them and so that they can help pay for the degree. My advice for what's its worth. Good luck.
