Be careful, if your going to sign to a label under a recording
contract make sure that you hire an attorney. And, please do
not negotiate your publishing in a recording contract. There
should be a seperate contract for that. To answer your
question, typically a new artist gets from 10-15% of SLRP. If
your negotiating selling your songs to the label it depends on
alot of factors.
