Dear Tara, In addition to all the other good advice that has been provided you, I suggest you call Jacobson and O'Brien in Washington and have them send you one of thir books on how to get a patent. Their books are well done and free of charge. Of course, the are patent attorneys. They are very nice people to deal with. Most patent work is done in or near Washington. Best of luck!
