Position Title: IP PARALEGAL
Position Location: Stamford, CT, for a major consumer products corporation's Stamford, CT office. Salary range is $50,000+
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
* Prosecution of U.S. trademark applications with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
* Day to day management of trademark conflicts and oppositions
* Conduct trademark scans using computer databases
* Request, review and investigate copyright, title and trademark searches and prepare trademark search result forms
* Review merchandise product and packaging, as well as advertising and promotional materials, and advise proper trademark and copyright notices
* Prepare and distribute U.S./international trademark application status reports to client groups
* Assist in coordinating various patent matters
Requirements:
* 1-4 years intellectual property paralegal experience
* Excellent writing, communication and negotiation skills
* Excellent organization and prioritizing skills
* Work well independently and under pressure
* Ability to handle numerous tasks and projects with time deadlines
* Knowledge of trademark and general intellectual property
* Online research skills
